It all started with Smiles, where Brent found the perfect visual expression for his creative message…

As he was creating a  bronze teddy bear sculpture in 2018, he realized he had an opportunity to do something unique. To turn the teddy bear’s face upside down and challenge viewers, collectors, and himself to look at the world with a different perspective.

After the sculpture’s success, he decided to design a real plushie…

Smiles & Friends was ultimately created so that Brent’s message of vividly-colored joy and offbeat creativity could get out into the world and inspire children and adults alike. 

At the heart of all Smiles & Friends designs is creativity, inspiration, and positivity. Our plushies bridge the gap between the fine art world, and the playful realm of the imagination that inspires so much of Brent’s art work, making art accessible to everyone!
